What LabelLens is — and isn't
LabelLens is an information tool, not medical, nutritional, or safety advice. Scores and ingredient explanations are generated from product and regulatory data and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong for your situation. Always read the physical label on the product, and speak to a doctor or pharmacist about allergies, intolerances, or any medical condition. Do not rely on a score to decide whether something is safe for you.
Accuracy
Product data comes from public databases, manufacturer information, and user submissions. Manufacturers change formulations without notice. We make no guarantee that any entry matches the product currently in your hand.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. Don't scrape the app, resell access, or submit content you have no right to submit. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Free use and subscriptions
The free tier includes [3] barcode scans per day. Premium is a recurring subscription billed through the App Store or Google Play. It renews automatically until cancelled, and you cancel through your Apple or Google account — not through us. Refunds follow the store's policy, not ours. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.
User submissions
If you submit a product or photograph an ingredient panel, you grant us a licence to use that content to build and improve the product database. Don't submit anything you didn't create or don't have permission to share.
Our content
The app, its design, and its written explanations belong to us. Product names, brands, and packaging shown in the app belong to their respective owners and appear for identification only.
Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. If you are a consumer in the EU, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Ending it
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may end or change the service with reasonable notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [Hungary / your country of establishment]. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in your own country of residence.
